En octobre 2012, les JFX Bits reprenaient du service avec la sortie du cinquième volet de ces compilations gratuites. Plus de 18 titres inédits de Dope D.O.D, Virus Syndicate, Oddateee, 4DLS, Signal², AlgoRythmiK, Shadow Huntaz ... C'est au tour de la cadette, la bien nommée JFX Bits 6 de faire ses preuves. 23 titres aux esthétiques métissées, pas de quoi rougir face à ses aînées. Ici, le parti pris ne se retrouve pas tant dans les styles abordés, mais plutôt dans le vent frais qui souffle sur cette compilation. L'ambiance qui s'en dégage y est clairement plus apaisée, colorée, moins rentre-dedans, une transition idéale après un hiver rigoureux. De l'electronica, de la folk, du glitch-hop, de la pop, du downtempo, du hip-hop, du trip-hop, que les influences soient africaines, orientales, arabes, ou américaines on se laisse happer par ce patchwork musical, fil rouge indicible de ce nouveau produit de Jarring Effects. Une volonté clairement affichée du label de vous surprendre, et tapper fort là où on ne l'attend pas.

The new album Naive Plunger all felt the throbbing pain of modern society and the world at large . As always , technical progress ahead of spiritual progress . That fits our civilization to this point . The outer side is important in our time more than content. In the machine age man given more time on self-respect, introspection . While some people are mired in the recesses of his own desires , others are fascinated by his own reflection in a soap film reality. Man falls lower and lower in his unbridled passion to possess. Atmosphere approaching the end of the coming of technogenic accompanies us when listening to the album . Seemed to hit the town, built at the site for testing nuclear bombs. Just like now , but hypocrisy oozes from the walls and kitchen utensils. Time stands still and the world plunged into silence eats something is about to happen . Another moment and all that connected you with the familiar world disappear once and for all . And then a wave of memories flooding back , pulls in the past, which is not. And the future is already creeping invisible radiation and the distance, on the horizon , you can see the rapidly increasing in size mushroom cloud . Think seize the moment , and it is a dream as your hands, that is broken down into elements . When disturbed the harmony , everything falls apart

Tomotsugu Nakamura is a sound artist and graphic designer residing in Tokyo, Japan. He uses various instruments such as guitar, piano, synthesizers along with field recordings and glitches as sound sources, and lays those sounds as if sketching dotted patterns on white clean paper. Thus the songs are shaped in very absract forms and the details are astonishingly precise, however, they sound very tender and melodius at the end which makes his music so special and different from the others. Fin 2008, je découvre Emancipator dans une compile Trip-hop et là coup de foudre. Les basses bien douces, les voix, le rythme simple mais parfaitement maitrisés et ces belles lignes de guitares m'ont immédiatement conquis. Lors d'un voyage au USA je suis même allé à Portland pour voir son premier show en première partie de Bonobo live (imaginez l'affiche) pour finir à une soirée chez lui en compagnie de ses colloc'. Puis un 2e album, dans la même lignée, moins surprenant mais des titres comme Rattlesnake m'ont rappelé la qualité de l'artiste. Et enfin le 3e album qui, sans être mauvais (Minor cause est certainement une de ses meilleurs création) ne sort pas assez des sentiers battus. La construction de l'album est exactement le même que les précédant, cela finit par tourner trop rapidement en rond. Ces voix, qui faisaient le charmes de son premier album finissent par être agaçantes voire vraiment chiantes. Néanmoins tout n'est pas à jeter, la mélodie de saxo de The Way est superbe et Afterglow est assez jolie mais... il y a un petit quelque chose qui ne permet pas à l'album de rester aussi bon que ses prédécesseurs..Source
